Why do we prefer the gutter clean system M-5300 for existing gutters compared to the other products from alu-rex?

The advantage of aluminium gutter screens
Alu-rex carries a series of eavestroughs' screens:
1) the gutter-clean screens for existing eavestroughs M-5300
2) the t-rex screen for new eavestroughs M-5800
They both expect a 40 year clog free system... 40 years is a long time...
Both screens perform the same function: they protect our gutters from clogging every year, year after year. These screens are maintenance free because they are made of aluminium.
One big difference comes out between the two: the M-5800 supports everything.
It supports the trough itself through the screens. This system is ingenious. No spikes and no hangers are required. Added is extra strength.
What happens though if, for some reason, one needs to get inside the trough for repairs, or cleaning, patching etc? In other words is the strength of a gutter system more important than its functionality, that is, draining water properly, year after year? Forty years is a long time for a drainage system secured on a wooden structure... It may become big job if maintenance needs to be done on this gutter system.
The M-5300 screens are secured on existing troughs. Just in case somebody needs to get access inside the trough, all it takes is to release a few screws and it remains a small job to undertake.
Do not get us wrong: both Alu-rex's screens are top of the line screens that Edmontonians need to consider in order to keep their gutters un-clogged for a long time. We should however never forget that our buildings have wooden frames which can warp and crack and so-on.
Regular maintenance is the best way to prevent.
